Blackberry Margarita with Lime and Rosemary

This Blackberry Margarita Recipe with Lime and Rosemary is a very simple martini. You simple muddle the blackberry and rosemary. Then add some tequila and lime juice then shake it up. You may like it tart, but you can add some optional simple sugar or agave nectar to sweeten up, as many margarita recipes call for.

You can easily multiply this recipe and serve in a pitcher for parties.

To garnish, just add a wedge of lime and a sprig of rosemary. The dark purple colors of the blackberry are gorgeous with that bright green pop of the lime and rosemary. This muddled blackberry margarita is very beautiful bev!

Many people like to salt their rims with margarita. If you do, go for the coarse salt. You can also try a variation of this recipe for a frozen blackberry margarita that calls for 1 cup of ice cubes, 2 1/2 cups of frozen blackberries, 1/2 cup of tequila, 3 T lime juice and 3 T sugar combined in a blender, rimmed with lime juice and sugar.

  • 1 Lime
  • 5 – 6 Blackberries
  • 4 parts Tequila
  • Rosemary

Instructions

  • Muddle blackberries and rosemary.
  • Add juice from half a lime.
  • Add 4 parts tequila and shake all of the ingredients in a shaker.
  • Garnish with a wedge of lime and a sprig of rosemary.

To make a blackberry jalapeno margarita, muddle about 6 blackberries and 2 or 3 slices of chopped jalapeno and add to shaker. Add 2 ounces of tequila, 1 ounce of Cointreau, juice from one lime and simple syrup to taste. Shake with ice. Serve with a salted or sugar rim.

To make a blackberry margarita mocktail, you can substitute the tequila with club soda, lime soda, lemon juice, orange juice or grapefruit juice.
