Spiral Cucumber Salad

spiral cucumber salad

Have you tried cutting your cucumbers into spirals yet? It turns a simple cucumber salad into a delightful conversation piece! And it’s so easy to do.

All you’ll need equipment-wise is a pair of disposable chopsticks— or a very careful cutting hand.

How to Cut a Cucumber into a Spiral

Cutting cucumbers into spirals is a cinch. Simply put the cucumber in between two chopsticks. Then make diagonal cuts, about 45°. With the chopsticks, you’ll cut nearly all the way, but not totally through the cucumber. If you have a very careful hand, you might try it yourself, but it’s so much easier with the chopsticks.

Once you’ve made the diagonal cuts, flip the cucumber over and make simple straight cuts, as if you were making medallions of cucumbers. The exact size of the cucumber slices is not essential, but try to make them the same size.
