Ingredients for air fryer chicken legs
All you need to make this air fryer. Chicken recipe is the chicken, a few seasonings, and a little bit of olive oil. Here are the exact ingredients:

- 5 – 6 chicken drumsticks
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
How to Make Chicken Legs in the Air Fryer
First, preheat an air fryer to 400° for about five minutes or so.
Then, use paper towels to pat the chicken legs dry and place them in a mixing bowl or on a large plate — basically a place where you can season them.

Drizzle a little olive oil on the chicken legs to coat them well. You can use a brush to ensure the olive oil is coated evenly.

Next, add your spices to a little bowl and simply mix them up. In a small bowl combine: paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder and onion powder. Sprinkle the seasoning on the chicken legs evenly so each piece has a good amount of the spices.
Once the air fryer has preheated, you can add the chicken legs to the air fryer basket. If you have a small air fryer, you may have to do two batches. Make sure they don’t touch so the air fryer heat can cook them all evenly and thoroughly.
Cook for about 9 minutes then use tongs to flip the chicken drumsticks over to cook another 9 minutes. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken legs have cooked to 165°. Once they reached that temperature, they’re done!

The last step is to simply put your air fryer drumsticks on a serving platter and serve them warm. You can serve them with any side you’d like from steamed or roasted vegetables, to rice and potatoes.
