These cream cheese chicken thighs with Everything Bagel seasoning are divine! They are essentially “everything but the bagel” chicken, and they are surprisingly easy to make!
You can easily use other chicken cuts such as chicken breast or chicken tenders, but using chicken thighs is ideal because you can stuff them so easily by simply folding the thighs in half, as you’ll see below.
With this recipe, you’ll be sprinkling this seasoning a little bit on the inside and a lot on the outside to make a nice crispy crust.

Ingredients for Cream Cheese Chicken
This cream cheese chicken recipe is so simple. You’ll only need a few ingredients, and then you can assemble it quickly.

- 1 lb chicken thighs (5 – 6 chicken thighs)
- 1 – 2 tablespoons Everything Bagel seasoning
- ½ cup cream cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- salt and pepper
What to do
First, preheat oven to 400°, then use paper towels to pat the chicken thighs dry.
Drizzle some oil on a baking sheet and then lay the chicken thighs on it, opened with the smooth side down. (This is why chicken thighs are so great for a cream cheese chicken recipe. You can simply tuck the cream cheese inside!)
Season the chicken thighs with a little salt and black pepper on the rough sides that are facing up. Add 2 tablespoons of whipped cream cheese to the smaller side of each thigh and spread evenly. (You can also use small dollops of regular cream cheese.)
Add a sprinkle of Everything Bagel seasoning to the cream cheese.
You can use plain cream cheese or a cream cheese with savory ingredients like jalapeños or chives. You can even add those types of ingredients (including garlic, onions, olives, or scallions) to the cream cheese yourself.

Once you’ve added cream cheese, close the larger side of the chicken thigh onto the top of the smaller side. Essentially, the chicken thighs will now be stuffed w cream cheese. If you need to, you can use a toothpick to secure the cream cheese stuffed chicken.

Next, drizzle a little more olive oil onto the top of each chicken thigh and use a brush to spread evenly. This will help prevent it from drying out.
Sprinkle a generous amount of Everything Bagel seasoning (also called Everything But the Bagel Seasoning) on each piece of chicken.
Finally, bake the chicken thighs in the oven for about 25 minutes or until the internal temperature is 165°. Use a spatula to transfer the chicken onto a serving platter.
Then serve immediately while warm. You can keep any leftovers in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 days.
