Ingredients

  • 1 rack ribs
  • ¼ brown sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons Old Bay seasoning
  • ¼ onion (optional)
  • barbecue sauce

Instructions

  • Rinse the ribs and pat them dry. If the ribs have a membrane, remove it.
  • Combine the Old Bay, brown sugar, salt and pepper in a bowl and then use it to coat the ribs. Wrap the ribs in saran wrap and allow them to marinate in the refrigerator overnight, no more than 12 hours.
  • When you're ready to cook the ribs, preheat oven to 275°. Remove the plastic wrap and wrap the ribs in aluminum foil. (If you're using onion, chop the onion and add it to the top of the ribs before wrapping in foil.) Place the ribs on a baking sheet or baking pan. And cook for 2 - 3 hours. Check the ribs at 2 hours for tenderness then check every 20 minutes.
  • Once the ribs are cooked, brush them with your favorite barbecue sauce and broil about 5 minutes. Flip the ribs over and brush them with more barbecue sauce. Broil another five minutes.
  • Serve warm with extra barbecue sauce.
