- 1 "fifth" 750 ml of vodka or grain alcohol About 3 cups or a "fifth"
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 6 - 10 slices cooked bacon Optional: glaze bacon with maple syrup or brown sugar while cooking
Cook 6 to 10 slices of bacon. Pan fry about 15 minutes, flipping occasionally. Or bake in the oven at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes.
Allow bacon to cool.
Place bacon slices into a mason jar that can hold just over 3 cups of liquid.
Add 1 "fifth" or 750 ml of vodka (or other grain alcohol) and 1/3 cup of maple syrup.
Allow mixture to sit for about 2 weeks. You can refrigerate it, but you don't need to. Just be sure the bacon is entirely submerged in vodka and that the lid is sealed tightly shut.
Strain vodka or grain alcohol mixture with a cheese cloth to remove bacon slices and any bacon particles.
